Our SOAR program continues to grow! Our newest partnership with Coastal Pacific Aviation provides a pathway for flight instructors to become First Officers.
“CPA is very proud to be working with an outstanding airline such as Air Georgian,” says Brian Kong, Director of Flight Operations for Coastal Pacific Aviation (CPA). “We’re looking forward to allowing the best-qualified instructors to advance their aviation career with a member of the Air Canada Express family.”
About the SOAR Program
CPA enters SOAR though Air Georgian’s ATAC member program which is open to all ATAC member airlines and flight schools. The program provides employers with scheduled attrition while providing pilots with an entry point to the Air Canada system. SOAR officially launches in November 2017, but Coastal Pacific Aviation is one of many ATAC member partners that have already enrolled.
SOAR (Sharing Opportunities for Advancement and Reward) is comprised of three initiatives, specifically:
- Creating awareness of careers in aviation for students
- Working with flight schools and 703/704 operators to recruit pilots into Air Georgian; and
- Providing career fulfilment and advancement opportunities for all employees
About Coastal Pacific Aviation
Coastal Pacific Aviation has offered the highest quality in flight training since 1974. The school is proud of the many graduates now working at all levels of the aviation industry. Individuals with no flying experience can enrol in the school’s commercial pilot program and, upon completion, qualify for a commercial license. In addition, the commercial flight training program includes private licensing, multi-engine endorsement, instrument rating and the minimum number of required hours in the air.
