We are excited to be attending the upcoming tenth annual Elsie MacGill Awards Gala on September 29, held by the Northern Lights Aero Foundation. Each year, the Elsie MacGill Awards honour women who have made significant contributions in their field and who continue to inspire other women to enter and excel in the aviation industry.
This year we are proud to congratulate our very own Chief Operating Officer Julie Mailhot on her receipt of the Elsie MacGill Northern Lights Business Award!
Ms. Mailhot began her career in aviation with Air Canada in 1987 and has since held several successful titles including being the first female flight dispatcher, the first woman Chief Duty Dispatcher, Chief of Operations, and Director of Flight Dispatch, Aeronautical Support and Weight and Balance. Today, we are lucky to have Mailhot as Chief Operating Officer at Air Georgian, where she oversees all aspects of our operations and works to prepare Air Georgian for growth opportunities.
The Elsie MacGill Business Award is a great honour and is testament to the tireless efforts and dedication we see Julie put forth daily to support Air Georgian. Congratulations!
A special congratulations is also due to Julie Beverstein who will be receiving the Flight Operations Award. Ms. Beverstein has been flying for 20 years and spent part of her career at Air Georgian before becoming the Assistant Chief Pilot, Recruitment and Retention, at Porter Airlines. Beverstein’s dedication to the field of aviation continues to inspire us, and we are in full support of her receipt of this award.
